Draft 2026 Western Sydney MUNA Programme and Manual<\/a><\/h3>\n

Please read these instructions carefully to prepare as a Team for Western Sydney Model United Nations Assembly 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If completed Permission Forms for each team member<\/strong> have not already been submitted, please ensure they are submitted via email ASAP.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Country Delegations<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You will be notified of the 2026 Resolutions and which country you have been allocated by about 4 weeks before the event<\/strong> via email.<\/h4>\n

Countries will be allocated to teams across\u00a0 'voting blocs'.<\/h4>\n

It will be important to know your fellow bloc members so you can form allies to help develop debating tactics.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Research Your Country<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You are encouraged to do as much research on your country as possible to improve your understanding of the country and its issues that relate to the resolutions for debate.<\/h4>\n

Use your\u00a0research to form a stance on each resolution, and propose any amendments to 1-2 resolutions for open debate at MUNA. \u00a0Be prepared to argue your position on each\u00a0resolution and any of your amendments so you can convince the assembly to vote in your favour.<\/h4>\n

You are also strongly encouraged to adopt their country\u2019s national dress to add to their presentations. \u00a0There will be a separate award to the\u00a0Delegation with the most appropriate \/ interesting national dress.<\/h4>\n

Indicate your Stance on Resolutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After the Resolutions have been published, you will receive a Speaking Preferences form:<\/h4>\n

    Indicate your stance \u201cFor\u201d or \u201cAgainst\u201d each Resolution<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Indicate preferences for the opportunity to Move and\/or Second each Resolution<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    It is important you return this form promptly, as early responders are more likely to get the speaking opportunities they desire.<\/h4>\n

    Finally, work with your team to prepare your arguments and ensure all team members have equal speaking rights.<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
